Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. The band was not able to achieve major success on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal had a great success following the split of the band. She started taking voice lessons and then released her first album "Out For Blood", followed by "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for several years. Ford returned to the scene with her hit album 'Lita which was released in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. The success of her was not long-lasting and, for a few more years, she disappeared. Then she returned when she released 'Black' in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' about 15 years later. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
