She started out her career at the age of fifteen as an R&B vocalist with B2K. It was falsely promoted that her name was that of one of the "cousin" to B2K rapper Lil Fizz. In 2002, she made her debut as a singer-songwriter on the soundtrack to the movie The Master of Disguise by singing the track Cherry Pie. She also appeared in the debut video of ORYANS,"Take It Slow. Her international fame was recognized when she became a part of Canadian rapper Drake to contribute to his album Nothing Was The Same.
